AAA files are used by SQL Anywhere, a relational database management system distributed SAP (SAP acquired Sybase along with its Anywhere project).

AAA files store temporary data generated by Anywhere as it performs database operations. SQL Anywhere version called UltraLight is commonly used for managing databases on mobile devices due to its low system requirement and great performance of relatively limited systems (for example, Android, Apple iOS, BlackBerry, or Windows Mobile).
