ARFF file suffix is used for files created by Weka, a machine learning software written in Java, developed by a team of scientist working at the Department of Computer Science, University of Waikato.

ARFF is a relationship file that stores set of instances that share some attributes. Each ARFF files contains as header section listing data types and data section which holds the actual data (values). ARFF is as plain ASCII text file.
