DFP is a plugin file used by 3D effects editing software Fusion. DFP are used in professional motion and animation projects, including VR.

The main purpose of DFP files is to supply additional features to the base version of Fusion. Visual effects created using Blackmagic’s software were used in many Hollywood productions, for example, Hunger Games or Guardians of the Galaxy. The technology was also used is computer games (Halo5).
