HDR file format is commonly used in digital photography. HDR file stores image in raster graphics format. HDR files can store multiple versions of the same image, each with different exposition parameters (some more bright than others, for example). In effect an image with wide color range can be obtained.
HDR files can be used to enhance image color and brightness range. Color images are stored in 64-bit format, while gray gamut is stores in 32-bit format.
