Files with the .P7C extension contain digital PKCS#7 certificates confirmed by public cryptographic keys and used by various online-based identity verification applications.

Similarly to P7B files, when P7C files are downloaded by a given application and the identity is successfully verified, they save said verified unit on a trusted list, for example of webpages.
