PLP files are associated with Messenger Plus! software created by Patchou company. PLP files store audio data used by the communicator. Files with PLP extension are rarely used nowadays.

PLP files cannot be converted into other audio formats. Messenger Plus! project is discontinued, which renders PLP files obsolete. Yet, PLP files can sometimes be found on computers on which Messenger Plus! was installed at some point.
