PREL is a file extension specific to a video editing software called Premiere Elements. The PREL file is used to store a video project made in the program. Such a file contains all information about the project, but does not itself contain any multimedia data. Such a project is based on a timeline on which various audio and video elements, effects or subtitles are embedded. It can contain multiple paths of this type.
