PSL is a library file format associated with PSCAD, an advanced power system modeling and simulation software.

PSL library files can only be present on system with legally installed PSCAD. PSCAD was developed by Manitoba HVDC Research Center as a tool for engineering design and is mostly used by large electric power companies.
