File with an .RVT extension contains a 3D building project; its full data and display settings. RVT files may contain data on building’s sections, elevations, floors and also project characteristics and linked data.

Revit software is used to model information on buildings – it is a BIM program. It enables displaying a given project online in a fully rendered 3D environment.
