Files with the .TIB extension contain a detailed image of a disc, or, to be exact, a detailed image of a data, created by software specialized in creating backup copies and data retrieval from the Acronis True Image family. The image allows for the creation of a single or incremental backup copy in the file, which is used to retrieve the entirety of the data once saved on the copied data storage unit in the case of its failure.

TIB files can be created and stored both locally and online, depending on the functionality of the used software.
