Files with the .TMD extension contain edited text, including its formatting, images, figures and text layout properties, saved in a format unique to the TextMaker software. This software, which is the one that generates TMD files, is part of an office suite – namely, it is the text editor of the SoftMaker Office suite.

The TMD TextMaker Viewer file browser supports files created using the TextMaker software, versions 6 and newer.
