AMC file extension is used by Ant Movie Catalog sofware to store and organize data file collections, such as movies, CDs, DVDs etc. AMC file format allows users to save detailed information about title, director, year of release etc. AMC files use HTML format and therefore are easy to access and share with other users.

AMC file extension is also used by Quicktime software, which enables playing videos using Microsoft Explorer web browser.
