DWT is an extension given to files that are used by a professional software tool to create websites called Dreamweaver. DWT files are used by the program to store page templates. Such templates can be created from scratch or based on an existing HTML document. Such a template ensures a consistent look and functionality of the website. It contains non-editable elements that are to appear the same on all pages of the website. These are, for example, a logo, header, footer or menu.
