Files with the FMP extension are used by the 2D and 3D design software, AutoCAD. FMP files are used to store data allowing the location of substitute fonts in case the original font cannot be displayed in the project. It is a plain text file in which each line contains the original font and its alternate. Such a file is called a font map.

The default file of this type is acad.fmp for the richer version of AutoCAD, and acadlt.fmp for AutoCAD LT .
