File with a GWI extension contains an indicator to an object within a database of the GroupWise application; user’s ID, version and type of the object, message ID or directory. If the object is deleted, the GWI file becomes useless.
GWI files are used in the GroupWise software designed to support cooperation in professional environment. They enable sharing information on location of messages, records or other data from a GroupWise database.
