ONE file format is used to store digital notes that can contain text, hyperlinks, digitized handwriting, images, tables, drawing and video or audio files. Each file contains ONE or more sections that store ONE or more pages. ONE files are created with Microsoft OneNote software and are automatically updated to reflect the changes made by the user.

Microsoft OneNote allows users to save and share their notes with other users as a part of cloud service. Cloud also enables users to sync their ONE files and keep them updated across all their devices on which the application is installed. OneNote is available for Windows 10, MacOS, Windows Phone, Android and iOS operating systems. OneNote is a part of Microsoft office software package, but can be obtained as a standalone or web application.
