QFX is a file format similar in use to OFX and OFC files, which are associated with Quicken, a finance management software developed by Intuit in the early 1990s. Quicken allows users to comfortably and efficiently manage their private finances.

Files with QFX extensions are typically used by large finance institution such as banks. They contain sensitive data such as account balance or financial transactions. QFX is a proprietary format. QFX files can be managed using Quicken’s Web Connect feature.
