VBD files are native to Microsoft Visual Basic, an integrated development environment suite developed by Microsoft. VBD files are used by ActiveX, a technology for running GUI-embedded applications (for example, on websites).
Single VBD contains a ActiveX document. During ActiveX document compilation a single DLL (or EXE) and VBD files are created. Typically, VBD files require additional ActiveX components to run properly.
