CDS files contain style templates used by ChemDraw software. The process of generating a CDS files is as follows: change page, image, and text settings to your preference, select "Save as type" from "File" menu, and finally select "CD Style Sheet" option.

ChemDraw is an advanced molecule editor used in cheminformatics. The first version of the software was released in 1985. In 2011 the project was acquired by PerkinElmer company. ChemDraw is available for Windows and MacOS.
