MMF files are files used by various e-mail client programs. Such a file contains a set of e-mail messages. This file was not supported by Microsoft Outlook Express, therefore MMF files were sometimes exported to PST format using Microsoft Exchange. As such, they could be imported via Outlook Express.

Currently, this format is no longer used and is considered obsolete.
