File with an .EM extension contains a DVD menu template – graphic and music that comprises the background, video file, information on time and configuration of a loop in the menu. The same file can be used in different projects, in order to achieve a given menu effect.

EM format contains a PSD file, which is an image of the background, which can be created single-handedly within Adobe Photoshop software environment and imported into a template. EM file is stored in the Encore Blu-ray and DVD creating software. Such files are run as a disc menu, after opening a given disc in a DVD player.
