Files with EMB suffix are used fo storing nucleotide data. The format was developed by European Molecular Biology Laboratory. The format is considered obsolete and is no longer supported.

EMB files can only be accessed using dedicated software typically available in laboratories, research facilities, or universities. Whether EMB files can be converted to other formats is unconfirmed.
