GPBANK is an extension characteristic of files used by the software for creating tabs for stringed instruments (mainly guitars) called Guitar Pro. GPBANK are files that store audio data, which are sound samples with which the program can play created and edited tablature. The standard set of samples pre-installed with the program can be found in the Soundbanks.gpbank file.

Guitar Pro is a program released for Windows, Mac and even Linux operating systems. In addition to editing tablature, the program supports the traditional notation on a staff.
