File with .INV extension contains information regarding Minecraft in-game item inventory – weapons, tools, resources and other equipment. INV files are created with INVedit software, a tool used for creating and modifying resources used in the game.

Minecraft is a sandbox-type computer game that offers interactive 3D environment made of basic building elements in form of blocks. INV files created with INVedit program can be imported into the game via Minecraft world level files. INV files can also be imported into ‘chests’ using MCEdit, a Minecraft world editor tool.
