Files with the .JTP extension are document templates and contain the default text, page layout, images, and formatting. It is created and used by the Windows Journal software, which is a note-making software for mobile devices, specifically tablets. Based on the JTP templates, one can create JNT notes, with a style derived from the template, such as a to-do list.

The Windows Journal program has a number of templates that are already built in, however the user can also design and create their own templates and save them in this format themselves.
