LED is a MIDI file format that stores data in plain text. LED files don’t contain any actual audio data. This file format is used for controlling light diodes on AIBO robots manufactured by Sony.
LED files can be used to change color and light intensity settings. It is also possible to set robot’s eyes diodes activation parameters for each eye to express various emotions such as sadness or happiness. LED files can be converted into MIDI format and then opened with a media player.
