LMP is a file extension associated with a series of cult FPS games called Doom. LMP are files in which the player could record the course of the game. The file could be played, but only by playing the game. This was due to the fact that LMP files did not contain any multimedia data, but only information about which keys and at what point were used by the player.

The first part of the Doom series is based on the id Tech 1 (Doom Engine).
