LVIX files are created by Lightworks application after importing a video file to the program. LVIX suffix is added to the extension of imported file. Created LVIX file contains various information and metadata used by Lightworks during video editing.

A similar format to LVIX is VIX, also used by Lightworks. Metadata describing the imported file is only readable by Lightworks, and finished video projects are saved in one the available video formats, for example, AVI or MOV.
