MB file format is used by Maya software, a 3D modeling and animation tool. MB stored data in binary format. MAA file, a counterpart of MB file, stores data in ASCII text format.

MB project file holds information about scenes, lighting, textures, 3D models, and other animation-related information. MB file can also contain data on fluid, gas, clothing, hair, or rigid body deformation simulations.
