MIS is an extension characteristic of files used in various video games. MIS are files in which the game stores individual missions. These are data about a certain part of the game (episode or level) that can be loaded into the game at the right moment. These files are most often installed with the game, but some titles allow the addition of user-created MIS files, e.g. with the level editor.

MIS are files used, among others in the games Tribes 2, Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon or Delta Force.
