File with an .MM extension contains source code of a program written in C type programming language – C++ or Objective-C. Unlike files with an .M extension, it contains code in both of these languages.

MM files are used by developers in order to contain code in the C++ language within applications developed for the MAC platform. A part of code responsible for user’s interface is stored in Objective-C, while the other may be encoded in C++.
