N64 is an extension characteristic of files containing a copy of the game made from the medium used in Ninetendo 64 game consoles. The cartridge used in these consoles could have a capacity from 4 to 64 MB. N64 files make it possible to run games originally written for the console by other system platforms. For this purpose, programs emulating the Ninetendo 64 console are used.

Image N64 games are supported, among others, by an emulator called Project64 or Mupen64.
