PDFXML is an extension given to files that are associated with an Adobe project called Mars. PDFXML files are used to store PDF documents that are saved in a manner that can be recognized by XML-compliant applications. To do this, you need the Mars plug-in. The solution was to easily exchange information contained in PDF files between XML-based applications.

Currently, Adobe Systems Incorporated does not develop or support the Mars Project.
