PFB is a font file format; it is a binary form of PFA file. PFB files store mathematical definitions of glyph silhouettes for given fonts.
PFB font files are used by Adobe Type Manager tool and AutoCAD for compiling fonts to SHX files. PFB files must be accompanied by PFM files in order to be of any use and placed in ‘Fonts’ folder on the system.
