PIZ file is a ZIP compressed archive, which can contain one or more archived files. PIZ files may hold entire folders along with subfolders with files. PIZ archives allow user to save disk space and prepare files for transportation.

PIZ file is nothing more that renamed ZIP with reversed extension. PIZ files are commonly used for securing ZIP archives against opening or bypassing email server attachment filters. PIZ archive must be renamed into ZIP archives before opening.
