REL file format was used by older versions of antivirus tool Norton Internet Security. REL files are used by the program for storing logs of events such as attacks or alerts.

REL log file follows iamX.rel naming convention, where X is a log descriptor, e.g. iamalert.rel, iamtcp.rel.
