SED is an extension of files specific to a tool added to some Windows systems called IExpress. SEDs are files added to self-extracting executables used most often for the distribution of various types of software. They contain information about the files included in the package, installation options, and other data that may appear during the installation.

The IExpress Wizard automatically removes the unpacked installation files from the system after installing the application.
