Files with the .SWM extension contain data of part of a disk image created by splitting a WIM file using the ImageX software.

SWM files are usually located in the sources catalog on the multimedia disc. The ImageX software is accessed using the Windows command line. It allows users to create disc images, usually consisting of many small parts of CD images instead of a single large WIM DVD file. To reconstruct a WIM image from multiple SWM files, you can, in turn, use the XImage software.
