WMDB is a format used by Microsoft Windows Media Player. WMDB files store a library of multimedia files found by the program as a result of scanning storage media. WMDB libraries do not contain multimedia content itself, but only information about the location of such files.

The file is generated by the program and cannot be manually edited by the user. Windows Media Player uses WMDB format starting with version 9 of this program.
