XMZ is the extension of files associated with the older FastTracker 2 music composition program. XMZ is an extended tracker file used in the program. The file contains the samples and the note definitions that are used to play them back. An XMZ file can contain multiple audio tracks and effects. It is also called the tracker.

Currently, the XMZ format is not used and is considered obsolete. FastTracker is no longer a development tool.
