File with a .ACCDE extension contains a Microsoft Access database in a blocked format, that is – a format preventing from forms, modules and rapports editing and it renders impossible to view the Visual Basic for Application source code, due to its complexity.
ACCDE files are used for protection of non-standard codes of databases through a program designed to manage MS Access reference databases, they correspond to .ACCDB files which can be fully edited. The ACCDE format is the successor of the older file type – MDE.
