BT is the extension given to files used by tools such as GIS (Geographic Information System). BT files contain information to visualize topographic maps. It is a binary format in which the map structure is based on an appropriately defined cartographic grid.

The BT format is used for modeling virtual 3D maps, in which the data from BT files are responsible for the correct visualization of the terrain.
