File with a .CNT extension contains themes of help documents (HLP) of Windows system or its application, stored in form of text. These files were created by the Microsoft Help Workshop software, they can be exported into a newer format - .HHC, by using the Help Workshop HTML software.
CNT files should not be opened manually because it may result in injecting malicious code into a system. CNT files are usually installed on a computer along with applications utilising this help file format.
