Files with the DPG extension are containers storing primarily audio / video streams. They are used in Nintendo DS handheld video game consoles. These are files whose content is encoded with MPEG-1 (video), and - MPEG-1 Layer II (audio). For the creation of DPG files, other video formats are used by conversion, e.g. using the dpg4x program or DPG Converter.

DPG files are supported by Homebrew Moonshell for Nintendo DS. They can also be restored on Windows using the dpgshow.exe program.
