EVT is a log file used by Windows operating system. JEVT is a binary file that logs system events.

EVT file can prove helpful while analysing system’s health and addressing errors in the system.

Windows 7 and later uses EVTX files in place of EVT files. Logs stored in EVT files can be viewed using Windows Event Viewer tool.
