FOL is a legacy format used by PFS First Choice software developed for MS-DOS operating system. FOL file structure is similar to database format with defined fields and data types.

FOL database file can be used for generating data queries and report creation. FOL files can be export into more modern database formats using dedicated software tools. PFS First Choice software package was rather simple and didn’t offer many advanced features unlike its counterparts, such as AlphaWorks, LotusWorks, or Microsoft Works.
