LZM is an extension of files specific to the Linux-based operating system called Slax. LZM are files that are used by the system as application installation packages. Such a module is compressed and contains all the necessary files needed for proper installation and operation of the application. LZM installation archives are compressed using the LZM algorithm.
SLAX is a lightweight system that can be run on computers without the need to install it, e.g. from a pedrive. Its author is the Czech programmer Tomáš Matějíček.
