Files with the .META extension contains information describing specific video files - metadata created by the RealPlayer media playback software. They do not contain video data – which is the video and the audio themselves – but house information about it.

META files are usually stored next to video files downloaded by the user from sources such as the Internet. Do not open them manually, as they are program support files.
