MJPG is the extension of files used to store video files. Data in MJPG files is generated based on a set of JPEG files, each of them representing one frame (frame) of the movie. Such a sequence of images allows you to easily edit the movie, but MJPG files, compared to other formats, take up more space on the storage medium. Besides, the MJPG files themselves do not allow to provide such video material with sound.
The MJPG format is used by digital cameras, webcams, web browsers and video editors that allow for video processing in a non-linear way.
