MPD files are used by Microsoft Project, a database application that stores data in MPD files. Microsoft Project is commonly used for project management.
MPD files store database records. MPD data files are compatible with relational database format used by Microsoft Access. Microsoft Project version 2007 or later doesn’t save data in MPD files by default, but still supports this format.
